The missional life of DRC is rooted in the belief that God is actively working in our midst. At local, regional, national, and global levels, we believe that God is up to something good, and we want to take part. We’re motivated to pursue partnership or collaboration in this way, trusting that God’s good work in the world exists beyond the limits of our congregation.
In pursuit of collaboration, we seek to partner with a diverse array of communities that align with the biblical prophet Micah’s invitation to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. Check out our mission partners below to learn more about how we are seeking to respond to Micah’s invitation.

FOCUS Churches of Albany - DRC’s engagement in local mission is widespread but much of it unfolds through an ecumenical group of churches known as the FOCUS Churches of Albany.
FOCUS has been an active presence in and around Albany for over 50 years, attending to the needs of our neighbors and responding in compassionate care. Food insecurity and housing are two areas in which the FOCUS churches are particularly active. Click here to learn more about the work being done through the FOCUS Churches of Albany.

Nicaragua - DRC has maintained a long and dynamic partnership with various communities in Nicaragua, including two RCA missionaries (Nicole Opgenorth, and the Bobb-Kelly family), a local scholarship system in El Castillo, and the Consejo de Iglesias Evangélicas Pro-Alianza Denominaciona (CEPAD).
CEPAD, the Council of Protestant Churches of Nicaragua, was founded in December 1972, just days after a strong earthquake destroyed Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, by Dr. Gustavo Parajon, a practicing medical doctor who called people to gather together in service to help the victims of the earthquake. Now, more than 50 years later, while the needs have changed CEPAD continues to be one of the strongest organizations working for the development of rural communities in Nicaragua.
